M-Apperò: Advanced Road Monitoring and Maintenance Solution
M-Apperò aims to detect the conditions of road surfaces, vertical signage, and other objects by monitoring suspensions, sensors in car black boxes, and cameras during travel. Vehicles are transformed into detection tools, becoming true “interpreters” of the territory. The project was developed in collaboration with be2net, a startup created by Gulliver and Fasternet, focusing on IoT projects for agriculture and public administration.
Benefits for Public Administration
- Continuous monitoring of road infrastructure.
- Efficient planning of maintenance interventions.
- Increased road safety.
Benefits for Road Management Entities
- Improved analysis and planning capabilities for maintenance.
- Reduced personnel costs for visual inspections.
- Evaluation of the evolution of critical issues for timely interventions.
- Improved quality of maintenance calls.
- Optimized management of interventions, saving materials and resources.
The Technology
The use of advanced sensors avoids the physical presence of operators in critical city areas. The collected data is transmitted to the M-Apperò platform, analyzed, and presented as geolocated information on a map, allowing targeted interventions by public administration. Data aggregation enables the classification of critical issues and the creation of a priority intervention list.
The app allows detailed reports with photographs of road surfaces or other irregularities, schedules interventions, and monitors the history of completed interventions.
M-Apperò brings significant improvements to community quality of life and the efficiency of institutions operating in the road sector.
